Special exhibits to date

Every year, the special exhibitions are dedicated to particularly interesting artists or the diverse themes surrounding wood sculpture.

Whether it’s the chalet phenomenon, carved masks, children’s toys or portraits of the Huggler carving dynasty, Carl Binder from Brienz to Paris, Bernhard Dürig’s natural forms or comprehensive exhibitions about women, contemporary Swiss artists or Brienz woodcarving as an intangible cultural heritage, the themes are varied.

Constantly adding new aspects characterises both the collective and special exhibitions. In this way, the museum is brought to life and constantly tells new stories.
