The school for woodcarving is very popular! It offers young people in particular much sought-after opportunities to work professionally and creatively with natural materials.
Vocational school for woodworking professions
The vocational school is the only school in Switzerland for the artistic crafts in woodcarving, wood crafts (specialising in wood turning and white cooperage), basket and wickerwork design and cooperage. The apprentices attend four two-week teaching blocks in Brienz each year. During this time, they receive vocational and general instruction. The apprentices also attend inter-company courses at the Woodcarving School in Brienz.
