For example, Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827) meets Ferdinand von Zeppelin (1838\u20131917) and Johannes Brahms (1883\u20131897). The Swiss creations of wood sculptors such as Jakob St\u00e4hli-Linder, Peter St\u00e4hli-Linder, Johann St\u00e4hli and many others are praised as magnificent works of great historical and social value.<\/p>\n

The unique collection of Arnas Jurskis, Arimex Ltd, Lithuania<\/strong>
\nOver more than 20 years, he has gathered over 15,000 items from 47 countries worldwide, making his collection the largest in the world. It includes highly rare and valuable pieces. \nWoodcarvers from all over Switzerland show their works<\/h3>\n

\nA world full of lightness, creativity, and joie de vivre was presented by the mobile exhibition THE CUBE with the diversity of the valuable work of the Swiss Woodcarvers Association. It provided a multifaceted insight into the works of over 40 Swiss woodcarvers, around 20 of whom come from the woodcarving stronghold around Brienz. Whether the boy with the harmonica, the fighting (or just cuddly?) cows, masterly slender figures, the wolves or the playful approach of girl and chimpanzee – there were hardly any limits to creativity. \nCHALETS TO TAKE HOME
\nSouvenirs between nostalgia and kitsch<\/h3>\n

\nThe 2024 special exhibition brought our visitors a little closer to the \u2018\u201dchalet\u201d phenomenon. Chalets are as much a part of Switzerland as watches and chocolate. They still characterise the Alpine landscape today. No wonder travellers want to take their chalet home with them – as a small souvenir or even as an entire house from a specialised chalet factory. The wooden chalet has become a global export and can be found on every continent as a so-called Swiss house. The bygone world of the \u2018H\u00fcselischnitzler\u2019 (Swiss house carvers) around 1880 in Brienz also came to light again and fascinated visitors with its astonishing stories.<\/p>\n

Environment, material, mood and more characterise the creation of new works, often directly in untamed nature.\u00a0For over 25 years, Urs-P.
